Second Life: Primitive Design and 3-Dimensional Rendering
Date: 2007-2008
Distribution: Electronic Media / Virtual Simulation
Project Description: These display boards, as well as the 3-dimensional constructs shown within them, were designed, built, and textured within the virtual environment 'Second Life.'
They are an example of 3D design constructed from primitive shapes (i.e. cubes, spheres, cylinders, tori) using precise mathematics, geometry and trigonometry. The resulting complex objects were then textured using custom CG textures designed in Adobe Photoshop, some of which contain complex alpha channels.
